Derrik was very excited that his high school ice hockey team was putting together an alumni game. I know most of you think of Derrik as a baseball player, but when you hear him talk about his high school days you know that his heart truly lead him towards hockey. He loves to tell me old stories about playing hockey. He had played on a men's league our winter on Cape Cod, but we had a newborn and I never made it so this was my first time seeing him play. The boys were so excited to watch Derrik play and sat cheering him on like perfect angels for about twenty minutes. That's a long time at that age :)
